Participate In The Sheriff’s 41st Community Academy

Palmdale Sheriff's Station and Lancaster Sheriff's Station are in the process of selecting 50 AV residents to participate in the Antelope Valley’s 41st Community Academy! This program will focus on a variety of topics.

Topics such as patrol procedures, arson/explosives, gang investigations, and DUI's, just to name a few. Participants will even get an opportunity to ride-a-long with a deputy sheriff and do role-playing exercises where YOU are the deputy! The purpose of the Academy is to build a better understanding between the community and the Sheriff’s Department through education. These classes meet for eight weeks and is absolutely free. Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., at the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, 750 East Avenue Q, Palmdale, 93550. If you are interested in participating in this free class, please go to the Lancaster or Palmdale Sheriff’s Station and obtain an application from the front counter. If you have any questions, contact Deputy Ronald Sneed of the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station at (661) 272-2587 or by email at rksneed@lasd.org or Deputy Yeni Deciga of the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station at (661) 948-8466 or by email at ydeciga@lasd.org.
