Road Construction Update For The Week of April 8 - 14 For The City of Palmdale

1 – Rancho Vista Boulevard (Avenue P) and State Route 14 Antelope Valley Freeway lane closures

Night of Thursday 4/11, intermediate lane closures on the southbound and northbound freeway between the hours of 10 pm to 4am. One lane closure at a time for electrical work.

3 - 10th Street East from East Avenue Q-9 to Avenue R

Intermittent center lane closures for remaining street work and striping.

4 - Eastbound Technology Drive from 5th Street West to the State Route 14 Antelope Valley Freeway overpass and Carriage Way from Auto Vista Drive to Technology Drive

Intermittent lane and shoulder closures for landscape construction.

5 - Rancho Vista Boulevard (Avenue P) at the State Route 14 Antelope Valley Freeway bridge from 10th Street West to Country Club Lane

Intermittent lane closures for potholing, conduit installation and repairs.

Street Light Inspection

City crews and contractors will be inspecting and rendering safe streetlight poles as quickly as possible. There are potential wiring issues with some streetlight poles that could result in people or animals receiving an electric shock. The City believes that approximately 1% of the current poles could have a wiring issue, but the degree of the problems can vary greatly. The City is asking residents to please stay away from streetlight poles, especially during rain events. This includes pets.
