Rep. Katie Hill discussed the impact of the partial federal government shutdown,on workers and famil


On Sunday January 6th, Rep. Hill discussed the impact of the partial federal government shutdown on workers and families in the 25th District.
Over 200 in attendance which included local union leaders, residents, federal employees, community leaders and city officials attended the first town hall meeting of Rep. Hill.
"We held a town hall three days after taking office because people are hurting, scared and uncertain about what’s to come". Hill said on her social media " Twitter"
The partial government shutdown currently affects more than 800,000 federal workers throughout the country. And thousands of workers in the Southern California and many live in the Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita.
"Just compromised and end the shutdown" said Erick Mrantz a resident from the City of Palmdale who attended the town hall meeting.
Hill has announced that they will be re-opeinig the Palmdale and Simi Valley offices on Monday January 14th. Santa Clarita office will be announce soon.
