City of Lancaster Announces 2018 Summer Concert Series presented by Toyota of Lancaster

T

he BLVD, the Antelope Valley's most popular social hotspot, will once again heat up Thursday nights all summer long with the Summer Concert Series presented by Toyota of Lancaster. Year after year, Lancaster's state designated cultural arts and entertainment district welcomes residents and visitors alike to enjoy great music, awesome food, and loads of outdoor fun with a dynamic series of entertainers gracing the Bandstand stage at Ehrlich Avenue and Lancaster Blvd.

“Summer evenings in Lancaster are meant to be enjoyed outdoors, and I can’t think of a better way to start off the season than with live music right here in the heart of downtown,” said Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris. “The Summer Concert Series provides the optimal setting for residents and visitors to engage with one another while patronizing local businesses – all of which make for an unforgettable night out on The BLVD.”

The 2018 Concert Series will kick off on Thursday, June 21 at 6 p.m. with the Walking Phoenixes, a Johnny Cash tribute band. Patrons can enjoy familiar tunes while visiting shops, restaurants, and the weekly Market.

"What better way to connect us all than with the rich universal thread of music? Toyota of Lancaster is proud to support that common thread and helping our community come together on Lancaster Blvd through the summer," said Toyota of Lancaster’s General Manager, Geoff Yeage

Once again, the Concerts will include four Signature Series performances:

June 21 The Walking Phoenixes: A Johnny Cash Tribute Band July 12 Strange Days: A Tribute to the Doors August 9 Scot Bruce: A Tribute to the King of Rock ‘n Roll September 6 Queen Nation: A Tribute to Freddie Mercury and Queen

In addition to these remarkable headliners, attendees will be treated to an array of talented bands performing throughout the summer. Be sure to check out the Concert Series website for the latest details, and check in via Facebook (www.facebook.com/SummerConcertSeries) on Concert Series nights for a chance to win great prizes.
