City of Lancaster Recognizes Lancaster School District as Key Partner in Pursuit of a Greener Tomorr


The City of Lancaster and Lancaster Choice Energy (LCE) representatives recognized the Lancaster School District (LSD) for its ongoing involvement in City programs which aim to further establish Lancaster as a sustainable community. LCE staff provided a detailed presentation, outlining the total cost savings to the District, as well as the overall impact within the community. Lancaster School District Superintendent Dr. Michele Bowers accepted the commendation on behalf of the Lancaster School District and its Board Members.

“The City of Lancaster is aggressively pursuing Net Zero status, and achieving this goal is only possible through partnerships with like-minded entities,” Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris stated. “The Lancaster School District has taken a progressive role in supporting the City’s alternative energy endeavors, and we are immensely grateful for their ongoing engagement in our vision for a greener, more sustainable community for future generations.” The Lancaster School District was the City’s inaugural solar partner when the Solar Lancaster program was launched.
