Your LLA Resident Deputy Reporting

Lake Los Angeles – As a follow up to the community, Lake Los Angeles Resident Deputy Gilberto Borruel has this report for the community:
“We have gathered information about where we have experienced similar break-ins, like the Oso Market building, in areas of the North County including Palmdale and Acton. We have good video. We have good stills.
“The detectives are actively working these cases. We will have additional patrols during the early morning hours to combat this most recent crime spree. Nobody will know where we are except when you see us, but we will be there.
“We need the public’s help. If you see something, if you know something, please say something. We cannot do it alone.
“Where we are seen, these criminals are less likely to try anything. Help us help you. Be a watchdog. We are not security officers. We cannot stand at the door of any business or neighborhood. We have calls to handle.
“You might see more of us gathering at the Community Service Office (CSO) in Lake LA. We have that store front space as a place to use the restroom, eat our lunch, do our reports, talk to each other, meet other law enforcement, etc., like any other patrol be it day or night shift. The early morning shift needs breaks too and a space to work.
“I will be covering this recent crime spree at the April WATCH meeting on Tuesday, April 18 starting at 10:00am. If you have any information, bring it to me there. If you have a question, ask it there. The meeting is at M&G’s restaurant.
“Use 9-1-1! Call for help! Let us handle this.”
The most popular hours for this type of criminal activity are early morning when people are sleeping before getting up for work and to do an honest day’s work for their honest day’s pay to support their families. Cameras, video, motion sensors, lighting, etc., and following safety tips can work for LLA.
Make LLA a harder place to commit crime. HARDEN THE TARGET.
