Lake Los Angeles – On Monday, September 22, Erika Schwerdt, Vladimir Gomez and Shirley Harriman met Francisco “Panchito” Ramirez Rueda on the guise of planning the 2nd Annual Lake Los Angeles Community Christmas Parade. It was to ask Francisco to be the Grand Marshal of the parade. And the team also got some planning done.
Francisco said, “Yes, I would be honored.”
Francisco is the Head of Partnerships for AV Alta FC. He attended Challenger Middle School, Littlerock High School, UC Riverside and the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Education Leadership and Policies. At Riverside he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Education.
Francisco has been a resident of Lake Los Angeles since he was 8 years old. He has never really left his beloved hometown. Regarding his travels Francisco said, “For me, everywhere I went, soccer or school, I always took Lake Los Angeles with me and talked about it with great pride.

“I always lead with example. I want to make sure kids from LLA dream and think big and continue to be a role model for the generations that follow them.
“Use me as an example: Riverside, Washington DC, Michigan, Sacramento and I always come back to Lake Los Angeles.“
In a special caring message to encourage LLA kids, Francisco said, “Do not let your current situation or your past determine your future.”
