Volunteers are needed at this year Palmdale’s Healing & Honor Field.

Celebrate our heroes by volunteering at the City of Palmdale’s Healing & Honor Field, a colorful display of American flags coming to Pelona Vista Park, 37800 Tierra Subida Ave. in Palmdale from Sunday, May 22 through Monday, May 30.

Volunteers are needed to assist with flag installation, serve as flag locators during the duration of the display, assist at the information booth, and serve as ceremony ambassadors and greeters. Open 24 hours daily. Free admission. Information booth open daily, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A limited number of chairs will be available. Visitors are welcome to bring a lawn chair.

Purchase a Flag

Flags will be available for purchase beginning March 1 through May 1. Flags are $30 each, and all proceeds will benefit local veterans charities. Flags may be purchased to honor individuals who serve or have served in the military, law enforcement, fire/EMT, or medical personnel. A tag with the name of the person honored will be placed on each flag.
