Vigil for Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer this Sunday evening .

Palmdale, Ca.-The vigil is schedule for 7 p.m. today Sunday night at the sheriff's department's Palmdale station,

750 East Ave O Palmdale, Ca, 93550

and will be open to the community.

Sherriff Luna announced his death Saturday night during news conference

“We need your help in finding whoever murdered our deputy,” Luna pleaded with the public. “Somebody knows something. Somebody saw something. We need to get them off the streets before they hurt anyone else in the community or another deputy, sheriff or police officer.”

Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer was 30 years old and an eight-year veteran of the LASD. He served the Palmdale and Antelope Valley communities with absolute distinction. He transferred to Palmdale station in July 2018. And has been a field training officer for 1 1/2 years.

From everything I know about Ryan, people absolutely loved and adored him. He wasn't just one of our Deputy Sheriffs. He was a third generation deputy. His father and grandfather served with us.

Palmdale Sheriff’s Station would like to extend our appreciation for your condolences and community support as we mourn the loss of our fallen brother, Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer.

As our station continues to mourn and deal with the aftermath of this horrific tragedy, we have decided to cancel all our community engagement events for this week, September 17-23.

We apologize for any inconvenience and we hope we can get back to engaging and building relationships with our community again soon!
