PALMDALE, Calif. — Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a June 20 carjacking and shooting at a Palmdale gas station, where the victim was allegedly lured by individuals posing as window washers, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

The incident occurred in the 37200 block of 47th Street East. According to LASD, individuals posing as window washers persuaded a customer to give them a ride to a nearby business. Shortly after, the suspects shot the victim multiple times and stole his vehicle.

Detectives from the Palmdale Station Robbery Suppression Team identified two individuals involved. With assistance from LASD’s Special Enforcement Bureau, multiple search warrants were served in the Palmdale and Lancaster area.

Evidence Recovered

During the searches, deputies recovered multiple items of evidentiary value, including two loaded firearms.

LASD said this is one of multiple robbery and carjacking incidents reported in the area involving suspects posing as window washers at gas stations and parking lots.

Public Safety Warning

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department strongly urges the public to refrain from conducting business with individuals offering unsolicited window washing services.

Residents are asked to report any suspicious activity to the Sheriff’s Department.

No information was released on the victim’s condition or the identities of the suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
