Transition to Kindergarten with KinderBoost™

Lake Los Angeles – This year 2021 the Transition to Kindergarten with KinderBoost™ program is returning to the Wilsona School District.

After an absence of a year due to Covid, the program is coming back to help our smallest students begin their educational career.

The program starts on Monday, June 11 and ends June 25, 2021 at Vista San Gabriel Elementary (VSG) School located at 18020 East Avenue O in Lake Los Angeles.

KinderBoost™ is free and proudly provided by the Wilsona School District, VSG and Save the Children.

KinderBoost™ is a two-week school-readiness program that provides children and families opportunities to become familiar with their new school environment, meet the school staff, make new friends and engage in age-appropriate early learning activities.

Save the Children works in partnership with the community, nurturing connections between school and family. The two-week child-education program provides skill-based learning. Resources for families to help their children prepare for success in school, including children’s books, school supplies and a backpack are all included. There will also be a graduation celebration.

KinderBoost™ gives children the gift of time, time to develop fundamental skills needed for success in school in an age and developmentally appropriate setting. KinderBoost™ provides an opportunity for young students to develop socially, emotionally and academically to help them transition into their new life’s adventure called kindergarten.

The morning starts with breakfast and then moves into activities such as the opening song to sing, story time, play story and morning circle.

To enroll your child in KinderBoost™, please call the VSG office at 661-264-1155 and ask the school for an application.
