The Feed Store, a LLA fixture for 13 years, to close

Lake Los Angeles – Pictured is Karen Freeman, owner/operator of The Feed Store at 43360 170th Street East. Karen is preparing to close the business at 6:00pm on Tuesday, August 15.

It feels devasting and sad that Karen will be leaving the community that she loves and loves her back. Wiping tears Karen said, “I have been here for 13 years. I am leaving only because the property owner wants to open his own business and occupy the house located on the property. To my community I want to say thank you. I appreciate everybody who has supported me. It has been especially great seeing the kids of Lake LA who are my customers grow up. Lake LA is full of really good people living here and I will miss all of you so much. I look forward to moving on also. It is bitter-sweet. The way it happened was all wrong, but it is good for me in the end. I am left with wonderful memories.”
