PALMDALE, CA — It’s time for some “Good Vibrations” as the City of Palmdale welcomes The Beach Boys for an unforgettable night of music and memories at the Palmdale Amphitheater’s summer concert series on Saturday, Aug. 16 at 8 p.m.
From their iconic surf anthem, “Surfin’ USA” that encapsulates the California dream to the classic harmony of “California Girls,” The Beach Boys have been the soundtrack of the summer for more than 60 years. Now, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees are bringing their signature surf rock sound to Palmdale for an evening of “Fun, Fun, Fun.”
Founded in 1961, The Beach Boys pioneered the iconic California sound with their innovative harmonies. The band has sold tens of millions of albums worldwide and earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Today, they remain dedicated to their massive fan base by averaging 150 shows annually. The current lineup features founding member Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who joined in 1965.
“The Beach Boys’ music is woven into the fabric of Southern California, and we look forward to them closing out our summer concert series,” said Mayor Pro Tem Laura Bettencourt. “Their music has been the background to countless summers and continues to transcend generations because it captures everything we love about living in California.”
All attendees, even “Barbara Ann,” infants and children, need a ticket. Lawn access starts at $12.
Gates open at 6 p.m. Arrive early to enjoy drink specials until 7 p.m. The venue features a variety of food and beverage vendors. Patrons may bring one sealed water bottle per person. To purchase tickets or for more information, visit www.PalmdaleAmphitheater.com.
