California , City, Ca.- On 06/25/2026 at about 1250 PM, California City Police Department received a tip from a citizen in Lancaster, CA that they had just seen suspect Kenneth Dobbins walk by her place of employment.

Due the distance to travel, Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Lancaster Station, were requested to check the area for Dobbins. A short time later California City Police were informed that Dobbins was taken into custody by LASD Deputies on the warrant for his arrest regarding this case. Dobbins was transported to

The California City Police Station where an interview was conducted. Dobbins was then transported to The Kern County Sheriff's Pre-Trial Jail Facility, Lerdo, where he was left in the care of Kern County Sheriff's Deputies.

The California City Police Department would like to thank all of those who worked diligently to help bring Dobbins into custody. We are acutely aware that several people and agencies were deeply invested in the outcome of this case. It is equally important to remember that all persons are considered to be innocent until proven guilty.
