Sup. Barger and Charter to Host Laptop Giveaway for AV Students



LOS ANGELES – Supervisor Kathryn Barger will join Charter Communications at Antelope Valley College to distribute free laptop computers and wireless hotspots to deserving youth in the Antelope Valley. In addition to the essential digital devices, all participants will receive a food box, County giveaways, new luggage courtesy of Tiffany Haddish’s She Ready Foundation, and snacks donated by Trader Joe’s. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health will host a mobile vaccination clinic onsite so all attendees have the option to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

WHERE: Antelope Valley College

Drive-thru located in Parking Lot E1 (east of the football stadium)

Approximately 100 Deserving Youth

WHY: Foster, homeless and at-risk youth deserving of essential digital devices in the Antelope Valley region.
