Street Sweeping Sign Installation Underway

avdailynews.com

PALMDALE, CA – The City of Palmdale has begun installing new “No Parking During Street Sweeping” signs on public streets with contractor Square Signs, LLC. The signs notify residents of the parking restrictions and forthcoming fines set by Ordinance No. 1615, which was adopted last November.

“Street sweeping enforcement is essential for the overall cleanliness and safety of our City,” said Mayor Austin Bishop. “By adopting these measures, which will now require residents to move their cars on street sweeping days, we are taking proactive steps to mitigate potential risks of flooding caused by the accumulation of debris and other vegetation and to improve the quality of life for our community.”

Installation has already begun in the Anaverde area, with crews moving through the City zone by zone over the coming weeks. While fines will not be issued until all signs are installed, residents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the City’s zoning map and their neighborhood’s street sweeping schedule to ensure their vehicles are moved on the designated days and times.
