Step Into the Spotlight: Palmdale Playhouse Brings ‘Cabaret’ to Life

PALMDALE, CA — The Palmdale Playhouse is excited to “willkommen” Palmdale Repertory Theatre’s production of the Tony Award-winning musical “Cabaret,” running Oct. 17-19 and Oct. 24-26, which transforms the theater into the seductive and dangerous world of 1930s Berlin and its notorious Kit Kat Club.

The electrifying production invites the audience to step into a decadent atmosphere where outcasts and artists defiantly celebrate life as the grasp of the Third Reich closes in around them. This powerful musical captures the intoxicating energy of a society dancing on the brink of catastrophe as music and joy become acts of resistance against rising fascism and antisemitism in 1931 Berlin.

Experience the legendary songs and choreography that earned the original 1966 Broadway production eight Tony Awards and the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award for Best Musical during its 1,165-performance run.

The show promises to deliver the full spectacle of music theater and iconic numbers that defined a generation of Broadway entertainment, with performances scheduled on:

• Saturday, October 18 & 25 at 8 p.m.

• Sunday, October 19 & 26 at 2 p.m.
