Lancaster, CA.- Palmdale and Lancaster Sheriff’s stations are currently accepting applications for their Explorer program. The program provides an opportunity for Explorers to experience the responsibilities and functions of law enforcement firsthand
AV EXPLORER ACADEMY 2026 — APPLY NOW! If you’re a high school student interested in law enforcement, leadership, or just pushing yourself to the next level, this is your opportunity.
For 18 weeks (Feb 7–June 6, 2026), recruits train like real LASD academy cadets:
💥 Physical fitness & self-discipline
💥 Teamwork, leadership, and confidence building
💥 Classes in criminal law, investigations, forensics, first aid/CPR & more
💥 Hands-on defensive tactics and controlled scenario training
Parents love this program because it builds responsibility, maturity, communication skills, and real-world career exposure. Teens love it because it’s challenging, competitive, and genuinely fun.
✔️ Minimum 2.0 GPA
✔️ Must be in good physical shape
✔️ Must be in good moral standing
✔️ Must be able to pass a drug test and have no criminal history
