Senior Lead Nayeli, 4-peat Transforming the LLA Senior Center – celebrating excellence

Lake Los Angeles – Stephen Sorensen Community Regional Park – In her role as Lead of the Senior Center, Nayeli Barron brought innovation, imagination, creativity, and a deep care for others to her work. Through her efforts, she revitalized a previously lackluster program, turning it into a vibrant, uplifting, and essential senior center that stands out for its excellence and positive impact on the community.

At an awards ceremony on the evening of Thursday, April 16 is where Nayeli received two awards to add to her other two awards given to her during the year, she said, “Tonight I was honored with the Valor Award and Employee of the Year Award. I’m truly grateful and humbled. Being part of the North Agency Parks & Recreation team is something I’m proud of every single day. I’m thankful for the growth, the support and the journey so far.”

These two awards join the other awards for Outstanding Work Employee of the month twice. Surrounded by her co-workers and close friends and son Caleb, Nayeli Barron is pictured here with William, Ymani, Lanisha, Regina, Erika, and Brianna. Together, they celebrated her well-deserved recognition, marking a moment of joy and appreciation for Nayeli’s achievements. The camaraderie and support from her colleagues highlight the positive environment she has fostered at the LLA Senior Center, reinforcing the sense of community and shared accomplishment.

Without a doubt, Nayeli Barron's journey at the LLA Senior Center is far from over. Her dedication, leadership, and commitment to fostering a vibrant community have already set a high standard, and it is certain that more achievements and moments of excellence lie ahead.
