Road Resurfacing Project Scheduled for 90th Street East Beginning August 10

PALMDALE, Calif. — The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works has announced a pavement resurfacing project for 90th Street East, with construction scheduled to begin Monday, August 10, 2026, and continue through Friday, August 21, 2026, weather permitting.

The project will improve driving conditions by milling approximately 2 inches of the existing asphalt pavement and replacing it with 2 inches of new asphalt concrete (AC) pavement, enhancing ride quality and extending the life of the roadway.

Residents and businesses located near the project area have already received advance notifications regarding the upcoming work. In addition, electronic message boards will be installed approximately two weeks before construction to alert motorists and commuters of the scheduled roadwork and potential traffic delays.

Construction crews will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Traffic control personnel will be on-site throughout the project to assist motorists, residents, and emergency vehicles. While access will be maintained, drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to plan for additional travel time.

The resurfacing work will be performed by a County contractor under the supervision of Los Angeles County Public Works inspectors to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
