Reports of a gunshot victim at a local school .

Earlier today, a call of a gunshot victim came out at the park next to El Dorado Elementary School. It was a scary moment as students were being released from school just as the call for service came out.

Everyone acted quickly, with staff putting their emergency plan into effect and getting parents, students and faculty into classrooms and locked down. Deputies were on hand in a matter of moments, and after the scene at the park was secured, the school was released off lockdown.

El Dorado Elementary: YOU ROCK! A job well done by administration, teachers, parents and of course the STUDENTS for following directions, getting to a safe place quickly and waiting for a Deputy for more information. It was a fantastic display of a prepared school with an emergency plan.
