Lancaster, CA.- A “Summer Ends, Furever Begins” adoption event will occur Monday, Sept. 15 through Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the Lancaster Animal Care Center, 5210 West Ave. I.
Adoption, spay or neuter and microchip fees will be covered.
People adopting a dog still must pay the license fee: $20 for a spayed or neutered dog, or $7.50 when the dog is adopted by seniors age 60 and older in Lancaster, Palmdale or unincorporated Los Angeles County. (The license fee is $60 if the dog must leave unaltered, and there is a $50 “trust” deposit if the dog is ill at time of adoption and must be brought back for spaying or neutering.)
