PALMDALE, CA — The City of Palmdale, in partnership with Homeboy Recycling, is inviting residents and the greater Antelope Valley community to participate in an Electronic Recycling event on Saturday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palmdale Transportation Center’s northwest parking lot, located at 39000 Clock Tower Plaza Drive.
“This initiative is a wonderful opportunity for our community to properly dispose of old electronics free of cost,” said Mayor Richard J. Loa. “Every device recycled helps reduce waste and promotes a healthier future for Palmdale.”
This free event offers residents an opportunity to responsibly dispose of unwanted devices while contributing to environmental sustainability. Accepted items include televisions, monitors, computer equipment and components, cell phones, landline phones, tablets, phone batteries, cables and wires. Batteries, lightbulbs, medical waste and hazardous waste paint are not accepted.
Homeboy Recycling, a leader in e-waste recycling, ensures that donated electronics are either refurbished for a second life or responsibly recycled to minimize environmental impact.
“Recycling electronic waste is a simple yet impactful way to reduce landfill waste and conserve valuable resources,” said Mayor Pro Tem Laura Bettencourt. “We urge residents to take advantage of this opportunity to properly dispose of their old devices and support a cleaner, greener Palmdale.”
