Palmdale, CA – Palmdale Water District (PWD) will hold a Customer

Appreciation Day to thank ratepayers and showcase staff and services on Tuesday, July 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at its main office located at 2029 East Avenue Q, Palmdale.

Attendees will be treated to light refreshments, meet Aquadog, and receive water-saving tools and other giveaways, while supplies last. New to the event this year will be hands-on water experiments with the lab staff and an outdoor display of a PWD utility truck, pipes and a fire hydrant. There

will be booths in the lobby featuring information about Pure Water Antelope

Valley (AV), Customer Care services, rebates, and the PWD drone.

“We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to Customer Appreciation Day,” said Customer Care Supervisor Tara Rosati. “This event is an opportunity for our customers to meet staff working behind the scenes

and to get updated information about District happenings. It also gives us the chance to show our appreciation to our ratepayers.”

The event will also feature information on how to apply for employment opportunities

with PWD, as well as available programs to help customers conserve water. One of the

highlights will include a live demonstration by the PWD crew performing a water main repair,

along with a display of new and old water meters.

In addition, there will be a booth featuring Pure Water AV, PWD’s advanced water

treatment project. The engineering team will have samples of the micro-filtration filters and

reverse osmosis membranes, all parts of the treatment process that will include ultraviolet light with advanced oxidation. The Pure Water AV Demonstration Facility is scheduled to open in late 2026. PWD usually schedules its Customer Appreciation Day on the day Palmdale Irrigation District (PID) was formally established – July 22, 1918. PID’s primary focus was providing irrigation water to farmers. Its name was later changed to Palmdale Water District. Today, 107

years later, PWD has more than 27,000 service connections and supplies clean, affordable water to more than 127,000 people in Palmdale and a few unincorporated areas of the Antelope Valley.

Since 1918, the Palmdale Water District has provided high-quality water at a reasonable

cost. We pride ourselves on providing great customer care; advocating for local water issues that help our residents; educating the community on water-use efficiency; and leading our region in researching and implementing emerging technologies that increase operational efficiency.
