Person Identified In Fatal Crash In Lake LA

Lancaster , Ca.- On January 1, 2026, at approximately 6:53 a.m., a fatal traffic crash occurred on 170th Street East, north of Avenue P. Preliminary investigation indicates a 21-year-old, Lake Los Angeles man allowed his 2004 Chevrolet to drift off the roadway and strike a utility pole.


The driver, the sole occupant in the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency medical personnel.


Antelope Valley Area California Highway Patrol (CHP) investigators determined the driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and alcohol may have been a factor in the collision. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Martinez of the CHP, Antelope Valley Area.
