Pasadena is planning to require all city employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19 once federal regulators give any of the vaccines final approval.
City officials say they’ve had calls from residents saying they only want vaccinated police officers and firefighters responding to their 911 calls for help.
The science is evolving about delta, and that’s really what’s different here now. We have to look at the data and the rates that are happening now because now delta is predominant. And we’re seeing that it’s been confirmed over and over again, so far, that it’s much more transmissible,” Goh said. “And the reality is we are an international city. So, we’ve got people coming in and out every day and we really have to be thinking of that mix.”
