Palmdale Seeks Volunteers for Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District

PALMDALE, CA – The City of Palmdale is looking for a community member to join the Palmdale Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District (EIFD) Public Financing Authority, a board that oversees funding for major projects, like roads, utilities and public facilities throughout the City.

 

The board manages implementation of the district’s infrastructure financing plan, which directs investments across the Aerospace Corridor, commercial centers and residential growth areas. The work includes prioritizing projects that support Plant 42 operations, expand housing opportunities and strengthen the regional transportation network, while enabling billions in private investment. 

 

The position is unpaid and will join the Palmdale EIFD for a two-year term. Applicants must live in Palmdale or own a business within City limits, pass a background check and file a financial disclosure form. Experience with public infrastructure projects, public finance, municipal bonds or construction is preferred but not required. Board members serve at the direction of the City Council, and meetings are held as needed.
