Palmdale Parks and Recreation Master Plan: Residents Invited to Visit Information Booths

PALMDALE, CA - The City of Palmdale encourages residents to immerse themselves in the future of parks and recreation by reviewing and providing feedback on the Master Plan’s leading goals and objectives at one of four interactive information booths.
These tables will be located at:
· Domenic Massari Park, Saturday, May 25, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., 37716 55th St. East (near the playground).
· DryTown Water Park, Sunday, May 26, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., 3850 E. Avenue S. (near the main entrance, no admission required).
· Marie Kerr Park, Sunday, May 26, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., 39700 30th St. West (near the playground).
· AV Taco Festival, Saturday, June 8, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Poncitlán Square, 38315 9th St. East (admission is required).
The Palmdale Parks and Recreation Master Plan aims to strategize improvements for City parks and recreational amenities, programs and services. This comprehensive document serves as a blueprint, prioritizing places to improve, methods for responsible growth, and programs and recreational opportunities that the community desires.
“Developing an accurate and impactful Master Plan hinges on community engagement and input,” stated Mayor Austin Bishop. “By understanding residents’ needs and preferences, we can precisely shape recommendations, goals, objectives and action plans that accurately reflect a collective vision.”
The Parks and Recreation Master Plan draft will be available for review starting Saturday, June 1 at www.CityOfPalmdaleCA.gov/ParksMasterPlan.
The finalized plan will be presented at the City Council meeting on Wednesday, July 10, at 5 p.m. in the Council Chamber, located at 38300 Sierra Highway, Suite C.
