Palmdale LASD to distribute anti-car-theft locks while supply last
Palmdale, CA.-The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Taskforce for Regional Auto-theft Prevention (TRAP) has provided Palmdale Sheriff’s Station with several steering wheel locks (The Club ®). "The Club®" is a great tool to prevent you from being a victim of an auto theft. In the most recent months vehicle thefts have exponentially risen, specifically in Kia’s and Hyundai’s.
Palmdale Sheriff’s Station will provide citizens with a no cost “The Club ®," steering wheel lock in the front lobby of our station, located at 750 E Avenue Q, Palmdale, while supplies last. We will only be issuing a “Club” for KIA or Hyundai owners at this time.
We will need an email address or California Driver’s License to issue "The Club ®". We will also need to verify you own one of these vehicles, and ask that you please bring your vehicle registration and/or license plate number, so we may do so. Once verified, you will be asked by station personnel to fill out a form so they may issue you “The Club ®”.
We hope this device will deter criminals from targeting your vehicle and help prevent auto thefts in Palmdale.
Thank you again to LASD TRAP for donating “The Club ®” steering wheel lock devices to our station for the community.
