Palmdale Hosts Public Safety Workshops during National Consumer Protection Week

PALMDALE, CA – In partnership with the Federal Trade Commission, the City of Palmdale is proud to observe National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) from March 3-March 9. During NCPW, community members have the opportunity to learn about consumer rights and how to protect themselves against scams.
Palmdale’s Public Safety team will host a series of informative presentations to empower community members. These sessions will cover essential topics related to consumer protection.
“Our objective is to enable individuals in Palmdale to identify, report and avoid issues such as identity theft, scams and fraud,” said Mayor Austin Bishop. “The City places a high priority on public safety, and we look forward to residents participating in the educational sessions.”
Virtual Presentations via Zoom:
Monday, March 4 at 7 p.m. - Learn about identity theft for consumers.
Tuesday, March 5 at 7 p.m. - Educate yourself on scams and fraud prevention.
Wednesday, March 6 at 7 p.m. - Discover insights into identity theft, scams and fraud for businesses.

Limited to 75 attendees
Both virtual and in-person attendees have the chance to win a free identity protection roller stamp and paper shredder.
