Palmdale Councilwoman Bettencourt to Host District 3 Listening Session at Eastside IHOP

PALMDALE, Calif. — Palmdale City Councilwoman Laura Bettencourt will host a Listening Session for District 3 residents on Wednesday, May 27 at 6 PM at the eastside IHOP, located at 38045 47th St East in the Super Target Center.

Different Format from Town Hall  Bettencourt said the format will differ from a traditional town hall meeting where the Councilwoman would typically answer questions from the audience. Instead, the learning session is designed for attendees to bring up their own ideas and suggestions directly to their representative.

“This is about hearing from you,” the District 3 office noted. “Residents can share concerns, propose solutions, and discuss priorities for east Palmdale.”Bettencourt said

Ideas Headed to Council Retreat The Palmdale City Council will soon hold a public retreat. Bettencourt plans to bring constituent ideas gathered at the Listening Session to the rest of the City Council and staff for discussion.

District 3 Boundaries

District 3 covers east Palmdale, with boundaries from 25th St East to 45th St East, and Avenue R to Pearblossom Highway.

Bettencourt was first elected in 2009 and has been elected five times.
