Palmdale, Calif. – On Friday, June 27, 2025, a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) checkpoint was held at 10th Street West and Technology Drive in the city of Palmdale, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. 1 person was arrested for driving under the influence.
978 vehicles were contacted during the checkpoint. The following citations were issued during the checkpoint: 33 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle while unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, 1 person was cited for driving without an ignition interlock device, 3 people were cited for outstanding warrants and 18 people were cited for turning out of the cone pattern of the checkpoint.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
