PALMDALE, CA — Families from across Palmdale are invited to an entertaining evening of fun, music and community spirit at the District 1 Neighborhood Watch event on Wednesday, July 16, from 6-8 p.m. at Poncitlán Square, located at 38315 9th St. East.
This exciting, free event brings the community together to enjoy delicious treats, face painting, a gaming trailer with interactive games, a live DJ spinning the latest hits and live music for all ages. Plus, everyone who attends will have the chance to win a free Ring camera, to boost their home security and put into practice what they learn from our friendly law enforcement partners.
“We’re changing up our Neighborhood Watch programs to help build a community where everyone works together to keep our community safe,” said Mayor Pro Tem Laura Bettencourt. “When kids see their parents talking with neighbors, deputies and our public safety officers, they learn that safety is something we all share.”
District 1 Councilmember Austin Bishop will join the festivities to meet residents, hear about issues that matter most to them and celebrate the unique spirit of Palmdale.
The Neighborhood Watch program empowers families to become the “eyes and ears” of their neighborhood to prevent crime and bring their community together. During the festivities, residents can learn safety strategies from the public safety officers who serve Palmdale every day and receive valuable resources from local partners.
Whether you’re coming for the games, the music, or the opportunity to strengthen your neighborhood, this event has something for everyone.
