More than 2 million Newsom recall signatures are all in.

Organizers said they had gathered 2,117,730 signatures by the end of the day, giving them a healthy cushion to meet the qualification threshold of nearly 1.5 million valid signatures from registered voters.

Newsom has said that the recall is likely to make it to a ballot.

"I've only been in office 25 months. Just in 25 months, there's been six efforts to put a recall on the ballot. This one appears to have the requisite signatures," Newsom said during an appearance on ABC's "The View" Tuesday.

If the measure qualifies, voters would be asked in a first question whether they want to recall Newsom and then a second question asking who he should be replaced with.

Of the signatures submitted, just over 64 percent represent Republicans, about 25 percent are from people with no party preference and 9 percent are from Democrats, according to Republican recall strategist Dave Gilliard.
