Lake Los Angeles, CA.-SBCC and Helping Hands AV are two organizations working together to make the community of Lake Los Angeles a better place for its residents.

The collaboration will see the two organizations working together in bringing an idea to reality.

The empty land will soon be filled with delicious fruits and vegetables.

Join them on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 from 10 p.m. to 3 p.m. for the 2024 MLK Day of Service, as they focus on laying the ground work for the garden, clearing out the land and work on a fence.

Dr. King once said “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?” This day of service is honoring that statement and the action that is expected from it. I hope that everyone within the community is able to come out and lend a helping hand in building something that will serve the community for years to come.

The location of the Lake LA Community Garden will be at Lake LA Farmers/Flea Market 40181 170th Street East, Lake Los Angeles., Ca 93591

Volunteers are encouraged to come with gloves, good closed shoes or booths and hats.

We are in need of rakes, shovels, hoses, irrigation pipes, gloves, wood, nails, wood for the fence , bags, cement and hoses, Any donation is welcome.
