Mini and Pocket Bikes, can not operate on any road way .

It is illegal to ride mini and pocket bikes, such as the ones depicted below, on any roadway, sidewalk, parking lot that is open to the public or on any off-highway public land, including dirt roads and trails.

Mini/pocket bikes are known to have a low profile and the ability to travel up to 50 mph, making them difficult for other drivers to see. The likelihood of injuries and death during a mini/pocket bike traffic collision is much greater than that involving two vehicles.

It has been our Traffic Deputies experience that many riders are unaware of it being illegal to operate these types of bikes on roadways; thus, we ask that you and your loved ones adhere to these traffic laws in order to maintain your safety and the safety of those around you.
