“Mean Girls” Comes to the Palmdale Playhouse for a Musical Comedy Screening

PALMDALE, CA — The City of Palmdale invites residents to wear pink and enjoy an entertaining screening of the 2024 on-screen musical adaptation of “Mean Girls” on Friday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. at the Palmdale Playhouse. 

This isn’t just another movie night, it’s a celebration of writer Tina Fey’s sharp wit and her creation of this unforgettable high school drama. Sing along with the spectacular musical numbers and tap your toes to the contemporary choreography. This musical comedy will have everyone laughing as it delivers fresh energy to the iconic high school saga while preserving the drama and fierce fashion that have captivated audiences worldwide.

Based on the original 2004 film, this musical adaptation brings Tina Fey’s memorable characters to life through dynamic song and dance numbers. The story follows Cady Heron as she navigates the treacherous social hierarchy of high school and the notorious clique known as “The Plastics.” Featuring catchy original songs and choreography, this film offers an entertaining blend of comedy, music and timeless themes of friendship, identity and finding your voice. The musical maintains the clever dialogue and cultural commentary that made the original film a phenomenon while adding fresh musical energy to the beloved story.
