Major Crash In 150th St. East Palmdale Blvd

A Los Angeles County Fire Department vehicle was involved in a collision

Thursday in the Palmdale area.

Palmdale Boulevard from 140th Street East to 150th Street East is closed due to a major injury crash.

Please avoid the area while CHP is conducting their investigation.

On 01/25/2024 at approximately 10:09 A.M., the Los Angeles Communications Center broadcast a call of a traffic collision involving a Los Angeles County Fire Department Emergency vehicle.

Preliminary investigation suggests Party #1 (Padilla), a resident of Victorville, was driving Vehicle #1 (Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Ford F-150) westbound on Palmdale Boulevard, east of 140th Street East. Party #2 (Barajas), a resident of Palmdale, was driving Vehicle #2 (Nissan Altima) westbound on Palmdale Boulevard, east of 140th Street East. Party #3 (Bigelow), a resident of Palmdale, was driving Vehicle #3 (Los Angeles County Fire Department Dodge Ram) eastbound on Palmdale Boulevard, east of 140th Street East. For reasons still under investigation, Vehicle #1 collided into Vehicle #2 and then into Vehicle #3. Party #1 (Padilla) sustained major injuries and was transported via ambulance. Party #2 (Barajas) sustained minor injuries and was transported via ambulance. Party #3 (Bigelow) sustained major injuries and was transported via helicopter. Passenger #1 (Roberto) sustained minor injuries and was transported via ambulance.

A SIG-ALERT was issued for all lanes at approximately 10:56 A.M. The SIG-ALERT was canceled at approximately 2:20 P.M.

Alcohol and/or drugs are not considered to be a factor in this crash.
