LASD is seeking the public’s assistance in solving the murder of Elena “Rae” Kazanes.

Palmdale, CA.- Homicide Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are seeking assistance with information regarding the murder of Elena “Rae” Kazanes.

On Thursday, February 19, 2026, Elana “Rae” Kazanes, 40 years old, was found deceased in the area of 140th Street East and East Avenue E, in the city of Lake Los Angeles.
