Lancaster Residents Re-Elect R.Rex Parris For Another Mayoral Term.


Lancaster, California.-The City of Lancaster held its 2024 municipal election.


The election was an all-mail ballot in which the Mayor's and two Council seats were open for the full-term .


Challengers Johnathon Ervin with unofficial 2,453 votes. and Mark Maldonado with unofficial 1,971 votes were the highest of all candidates.


R. Rex Parris secured the re-election for Mayor, which will be his sixth term.


R. Rex Parris was first elected mayor of Lancaster, California in April 2008.



Lauren Leslie Hughes secured her seat with 5,031 votes and Ken Mann with 3,934 votes. All unofficial votes .



Measure C, an advisory vote on establishing a drug treatment program in the city of Lancaster.


There was one initiative on the ballot, Measure C. Measure C proposes that the City of Lancaster explore and potentially establish a drug treatment program similar to Teen Challenge to address drug-related issues within our community. This measure reflects the community's efforts to address critical issues surrounding substance abuse and addiction, highlighting the importance of finding effective solutions to support the well-being and safety of our residents.
