Lancaster cancels 4th of July fireworks extravaganza.

avdailynews.com

Lancaster, CA. City of Lancaster announced on Facebook that the city is canceling this year’s 4th of July Extravaganza..

With extreme disappointment, we have been forced to cancel this year's 4th of July Extravaganza.

We value and honor the tradition of gathering in celebration of Independence Day at a City-sponsored event.

We thave exhausted all other options, and under the current circumstances, we are left with no other choice. The California State Fire Marshal found the event's vendor, Exposhows, Inc., to be engaged in alleged, illegal activity leaving our City as well as 8 other entities without a fireworks display.

Although a physical event will not take place, we know that our incredible community will still be celebrating together in spirit. We wish you a happy 4th of July spent with family and friends and look forward to celebrating with you next year!
