Lake Los Angeles - Attached is a map of Phase IV upcoming pavement preservation project in Lake Los Angeles. Also attached is the original map from Public Works as introduced to the community in 2022-2023 showing the phases and their locations. It will help you identify the outlines and locate the area to be worked on. Please click on each graphic to see full size.

Public Works will tentatively start the work on Monday, August 17 and be completed by Friday, September 4, 2026. This is Lake LA Community Phase IV.
Per LOS ANGELES COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS:
The roadway will be preserved with a slurry seal, which preserves the underlying pavement structure and provides a smoother, more finished driving surface.
Temporary "NO PARKING" signs and door hangers will be posted at least two days prior to the start of work on your street. The project will be phased to accommodate parking. For your safety and project success, please observe all traffic controls, detour routes, parking restrictions, and flagmen, exercise caution while in the vicinity of all construction activities.

During slurry seal work on your street, the road will be closed between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. please make necessary arrangements for travel. If you drive on the road during this time, the treatment will be less effective, may stick to tires, and could stain your driveway. Once the streets are reopened, normal driving on the treated surface may still cause some tire tracks and marks from turning wheels, especially at the ends of cul-de-sacs. This is mostly unavoidable; however, the structural integrity of the seal will not be affected. Marks will mostly disappear with time and traffic.
Additionally, cracks will begin to appear within 12 months of the treatment. This is normal. The surface cracks reflect older cracks that were already existing prior to the treatment. However, these older cracks have now been sealed against moisture intrusion, thus delaying further deterioration of the roadway.
