Lake LA Field of Dreamers clinics start

Lake Los Angeles – Stephen Sorensen Reginal Park – Parks After Dark (PAD) - On Friday evening, July 8, 2022, the soccer fields came alive with soccer players eager to learn from coach Christian Ramirez and Mario Trejo. Christian taught soccer exercises while Mario taught ball skills.

The clinics are being brought to Lake Los Angeles by Dreamers Soccer Clinic.org. Francisco Panchito Ramirez is still in Michigan so he could not be part of the clinics this year. Christian and Mario will be coaching all three sessions.

The players were divided into two groups. One group was the experienced middle school/high school players, and the other was the younger inexperienced players. The players rotated between ball skills and exercise coaching.

It started with 41 players but grew as more kids came to play filling the fields. Families came with blankets, lawn chairs, some sat on the picnic benches to watch their kids play and made an evening of it. It was truly a Field of Dreamers at the park.

The session was from 6:30pm to 8:00pm but kept going long after 8:00 as nobody wanted to quit playing. It got dark, the lights came on, let’s play!

The next clinic will be held next Friday evening July 15 starting at 6:30pm. One more clinic will follow the following Friday evening July 22. Players, welcome!
