Lake LA Crocheting for a Cause members

Lake Los Angeles – Twin Lakes Community Church – Saturday, October 14 was the monthly food ministry at the church which included the Share the Warmth Ministry.

Pastor Hammond said “We handed out 75 boxes of food in the first 40 minutes today. It was a very successful day.”

Marian Riley said, “We have enough contributions of coats and warm clothing that we will be distributing at the next two food ministries.”

The Lake Los Angeles SBCC Neighborhood Action Council (NAC) Crocheting for a Cause joined in the Share the Warmth by crocheting scarves and beanies to be distributed Saturday. Over 100 crocheted items stacked up on the table were gone in a few minutes. An anonymous donor brought in 14 new jackets to share with the crocheted items.

Chrystal stated, “Today was a wonderful day at the Twin Lakes Church. We ran out of everything except for two scarves and seven beanies. We donated these to the church for those that are coming in to get their food and Share the Warmth next month. The jackets also went really quickly.”
