Lake Hughes to Celebrate All American 49er Day on July 25 with Parade, Live Music and Family Fun

LAKE HUGHES, Calif. — One of the Antelope Valley’s most cherished summer traditions returns later this month as the All American 49er Day celebration takes over the mountain community of Lake Hughes on Saturday, July 25, 2026, bringing together residents and visitors for a full day of entertainment, local pride and community spirit.

Hosted at The Lakes Community Center, the annual event will feature a festive parade, live music on two stages, food vendors, local merchants, games, raffles and activities for the entire family.

The celebration begins with the All American 49er Day Parade at 10 a.m., starting in front of The Rock Inn and traveling through downtown Lake Hughes before concluding at the Lakes Community Center, located at 17520 Elizabeth Lake Road, Lake Hughes, CA 93532.

Visitors can spend the day enjoying:

• Live music on two stages from morning until 11 p.m.

• Local food vendors

• Arts, crafts and community booths

• Family-friendly activities

• Raffles and prizes

Admission is $10, while veterans, seniors and children under 17 are admitted free.

One of the highlights of this year’s celebration is the community’s Honorary Mayor election, featuring three candidates:

• Incumbent Cody Hofius

• April Rock

• David Hampton

Residents and visitors can purchase raffle tickets in support of their favorite candidate while becoming eligible to win prizes throughout the day.

This year’s Grand Marshal is Jeannine Marshall, who will help lead the parade and festivities.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit a booth hosted by The Painted Turtle, the camp founded by the late Paul Newman that provides life-changing camp experiences for children with serious medical conditions.

Organizers invite families from across the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of the Lake Hughes mountain community while supporting local businesses, nonprofits and community traditions.
