LOS ANGELES — Today, as LA28 approaches the first ticket drop of the Games, it has announced its verified multi-platform ticket resale program will open in 2027 with multiple points of access for LA28 ticket resale. Along with AXS and Eventim as the Official Secondary Ticket Marketplace, other verified resale platforms will include Ticketmaster and Sports Illustrated Tickets.

“With millions around the globe registered for the LA28 Ticket Draw* and as excitement for LA28 continues to grow, we want fans to have the information they need to shop with confidence as we approach the first ticket drop,” said Reynold Hoover, LA28 Chief Executive Officer. "While LA28's resale platforms will not launch until 2027, having a variety of platforms was critical to providing fans multiple points of access to verified tickets, and we’re thrilled to add Ticketmaster and Sports Illustrated Tickets to our resale program.”

When LA28’s verified resale program opens in 2027, the only platforms offering verified resale tickets for LA28 will be LA28’s Official Secondary Ticket Marketplace, AXS and Eventim, and its other verified resale platforms, including Ticketmaster and Sports Illustrated Tickets.

With the first LA28 ticket drop in April, it is important for fans to know:

  • Primary tickets will only be available for purchase through LA28 via its Official Ticket Service Provider, AXS and Eventim

  • The only sites that will provide verified LA28 tickets for resale will be through LA28’s Official Secondary Ticket Marketplace, AXS and Eventim, and through its other verified resale platforms, including Ticketmaster and Sports Illustrated Tickets, and those platforms will not make LA28 tickets available for resale — listing or purchasing — until 2027

  • If individuals see LA28 tickets on any site for resale prior to 2027, those tickets have not been verified by LA28.

“AXS brings a proven, secure resale infrastructure that ensures fans can engage with confidence and trust in every transaction. Together with LA28 and our partners, we’re supporting a scalable and consistent experience that protects the integrity of the overall ticketing marketplace,” said Bryan Perez, AXS Chief Executive Officer

“EVENTIM is proud to provide the ticketing platform that underpins LA28’s official ticketing and verified resale program. Together with LA28 and our partners, we are helping deliver a secure, reliable, and transparent experience that fans can trust.” Greg Klippert, EVENTIM Chief Executive Officer

“We welcome the opportunity to help LA28 fans access safe, verified resale tickets with confidence,” said Michael Wichser, Ticketmaster Chief Operating Officer. “Working with this network gives fans more ways to shop for legitimate tickets that abide by LA28’s resale rules and supports a secure and reliable resale experience for everyone.”

“We’re proud to join forces with the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games and to help ensure fans can experience these incredible athletes from around the world,” said David Lane, Sports Illustrated Tickets Chief Executive Officer. “As a Sports Illustrated company, we understand how important it is for the Games and the athletes to have fans in the stands to witness history. Our team is honored and excited to be part of these historic Games.”

In recognition of Visa’s long-standing partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Visa is the Official Way to Pay.
