Lake Los Angeles, CA..-- Keppel Union School District met on Tuesday for their regular monthly meeting at a location away from their usual location at the Distrrict office in Pearblossom.

The Board heard public comments in favor of superintendent Dr. Walker in which trustees Nava, Ballante and Ramirez terminated Superintendent Dr. Walker contract without cause. at a special board meeting in December 28th, 2023.

Trustees Cullors and Rodriguez argued that the special board meeting was done illegaly and it violated the Brown Act.. Also they argued that they were never notified of any special board meeting.

The meeting took place at the Lake Los Angeles Elementary School .

The meeting startted at 4:30'p.m and hour later the board headed to close session, board members Alma Rodriguez and Waunette Cullors refuse from going to close session. President Blanca Nava, Vice President Andrew Ramirez and Clerk Dominique Ballante went to close session for 30 minutes.

The union group held signs that read

"KUSD BOARD"

DANGEROUS, CORRUPT, CRIMINAL

EVIL , INHUMANE BULLIES, SCANDAL

SELFISH , RUDE DIVISIVLE, IILLEGAL

and wore black shirts in support of Superindent Dr. Walker.

The Keppel Uniom School District has three superintendents on their payroll , former Sup. Dr. Cardenas who also was let go during a special board meeting on July 3rd , 2023.

On December 28th, 2023 Dr.Walker was also let go during a special board neeting. Priya Darbari which was appointed as acting superintendent on Decembet 28th, 2023.

The sudden plans of terminating two superintendents in less than one year sends a disconcerting message about the school district's commitment to students.
