Judge Denies Pearl Fernandez's Re-Sentencing Request In Death Of 8-Year-Old Gabriel Fernandez

A judge on Tuesday June 1st, 2021 denied a request for re-sentencing by Pearl Fernandez, a 37-year-old Palmdale woman who previously pleaded guilty to the first-degree murder of her 8-year-old son, Gabriel Fernandez.

Pearl Fernandez was petitioning the court for resentencing, hoping to have her first-degree murder and/or second-degree murder charges thrown out.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge George G. Lomeli said he carefully reviewed Fernandez's petition for re-sentencing along with the overall record of the case and concluded that she is "not entitled to re-sentencing relief."
