It was fabulous family night at Our SPOT
Lake Los Angeles – Stephen Sorensen Community Regional Park – Our SPOT – Sixty+ people had fun with popcorn, soft drinks, pool and other activities as Lead Guadalupe Garcia cut the ribbon to Our Spot’s grand opening Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
Our SPOT will continue to invite young people ages 12-18 to join in the beneficial activities at Our SPOT. If you have a child in the age range, please investigate Our SPOT to see if the programs appeal to them.
A Safe, Free, and Fun Space for Ages 12–18
Our SPOT is a free, year-round after-school teen program offered by LA County Parks. Created to provide a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment, Our SPOT offers teens a place to hang out, learn, lead, and explore new opportunities in a supportive, non-judgmental space.
Program Overview
• Open to teens ages 12 – 18
• Free, drop-in format – with on-site registration available
• Available year-round at select LA County Parks
• Supervised by trained, caring staff
Teens can check in daily after school to enjoy recreation, mentorship, and enrichment activities tailored to their interests.
