Lake Los Angeles - This was my first attempt at greenhouse gardening. I think it was a limited success; not all that I planted grew. I started my greenhouse because I have a squirrel infestation in my yard due to the geese that I have and feed! The squirrels are attracted to the feed!

I started out from seeds and the seeds never germinated in the greenhouse, it was too hot when I started, and I didn't have the mister system properly set yet. So, I regrouped and started seeds inside in a bathroom under a grow light in April this year (2022) and redesigned the mister system. I had different varieties of tomatoes, onions, carrots, beets, lettuces, and a bell pepper all in containers. In July, I bought 2 Beefsteak Tomato plans and they produced until November!

So, I started the seeds in peat pots. (Found in nursery hardware stores, or even Amazon.)

Seeds need heat light and water, there's a delicate balance, and time, and didn't always work.

Advantages of greenhouse gardening over outdoor earth gardening are climate control and pest and insect control. Disadvantages are space. You are limited to the four walls and climate control.

Mine was a rocky start, but I had a decent limited harvest and looking forward to next growing season! I will start after winter because of the freezing temperatures of the high desert and perhaps have different plants to grow which might grow better! It's a constant learning experience.
